‘This is the first time in the history of the church in Rusizi to see all the church denominations come together with a common purpose to reach people with the gospel of Jesus. We are learning a lot on how to be effective in evangelism and discipleship. This is really an evangelistic process not an event.” – Pastor Lazare Byamungu, Chairman, Rusizi Mission, Rwanda

Pastors and local evangelists are preparing for the Rusizi Mission in the southwest corner of Rwanda.  The stratified evangelistic outreach will take place 5-12 August.  Over 25 denominations will be participating in the prayer, preparation, outreach and follow-up of enquirers.  Rwandan evangelists will be paired with 5 international evangelists during the course of the week, as they share the Gospel in the marketplace, schools, universities, hospitals, prisons and a variety of settings.  GoodWORD Partnership will be part of an Evangelism Training Conference for Church Leadership from 7-9 August.  Additionally, about 15-20 leaders from nearby Francophone African countries will observing the mission, attending the evangelism training, and then being trained in how to set-up similar stratified evangelistic outreaches in their context.  In partnership with African Evangelistic Enterprise, GoodWORD Partnership will lead this training 10-11 August.  Please pray with us for a fruitful time of harvest to the glory of God.  “Our hope is in you; for you are the one who does all this.” (Jer. 14:22b)
