Reports from Rusizi

Tuesday, 7 August – I arrived in Rwanda in good order. There is great anticipation in the Rusizi District of Rwanda, as the evangelists move into various zones throughout the district today to share the Gospel in a variety of settings. The evangelism training conference is going very well, with over 200 church leaders in attendance. There are 30 church leaders from 11 French-speaking and Portuguese-speaking African countries who are here. We will be spending focused time later this week helping them begin the process of setting up stratified evangelistic outreaches and training in their own setting. Internet connection is minimal, but we will try to keep you updated. Meanwhile, please pray with us that God would truly be glorified in all that transpires here this week. “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” (Ephesians 3:10-12)
