“I learned so much this week. I wish we could have spent three weeks together,” Emmanuel Kwizera said when he was with us in Minneapolis for a week (29 October – 4 November). Emmanuel is Mission Director of African Evangelistic Enterprise, Rwanda, and exemplifies the kind of keen, young evangelists with which GoodWORD has been working over the years: zealous for the Gospel, gifted with many skills, wanting the Rwandan church to be revitalized in the task of evangelism and disciple-making. Together we worked on developing his vision for reaching the district of Musanze in 2013 and Kigali in 2014 – what a pleasure it was to have him here.
This week Derek Simpson and I are meeting with church leaders in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the development of their vision for evangelism. The DRC is a huge, complex nation, but the leaders want to come together to work on a plan of reaching the whole country in a cohesive way.
On Saturday, 17 November, and Sunday, 18 November, we will be meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, with some of the Mission Africa Team leadership to confirm plans for the next couple of years. Additionally, we will be meeting with leaders from the Navigators to discuss the development of discipleship and training material. There are many opportunities on this great continent of Africa and it is such a privilege to work with these leaders in the fulfilling of a great vision.
“All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.” (Psalm 86:9)
