Isn’t it fascinating to read how God spoke to people through dreams? How He gives vision? Over the past several years it has been a dream to see children’s evangelism teams as an integral part of every Mission Africa outreach. And God is bringing that to pass through the “Let the Children Come to Me” Children’s Evangelism Training Conference in Kigali, Rwanda, 26 May – 2 June. It’s a true partnership in the Gospel, as trainers come from four organizations in four different countries (Senegal, Burundi, Middle East, New Zealand) with one message. Fifty people from ten nations will study God’s Word together and engage in this highly interactive training, with the goal of forming children’s evangelism teams for missions in each of the ten countries in August and beyond.
Another dream has been to develop pre-mission training material based on Bible story, to help church members recognize who they are in Christ, and to be more engaged in all aspects of an evangelistic outreach. God has brought Derek Simpson to us to spearhead this project and the dream is now being realized through training trainers in Rwanda, DRC, and Angola in this coming month.
The scripture says that “old men shall dream dreams,” so perhaps that means I’m old. But it’s okay because when they’re God’s dreams that He fulfills and He is honored, it’s a wonderful privilege to partner with Him in sharing His Good News around the world.
